Welcome to France

A Special Welcome to all International Participants from around the globe to France and the QUEST-IS 2025 conference.

International participants should pay close attention to visa requirements and arrange conference registration and travel plans well in advance for QUEST-IS 2025. The application for a visa can be a lengthy process, and we strongly recommend starting your application process early—at least 90 to 120 days prior to traveling to the conference.

Traveling to France

To attend a conference in France, you will need a valid passport and may require a short-stay visa (Visa de court séjour) if you are not from a visa-exempt country. A short-stay visa allows you to visit France for up to 90 days for purposes such as attending a conference. Check if you need a visa to travel to France based on your nationality. 

Visa Letter instructions

To streamline and expedite the visa letter process, please follow these steps:

  1. Register for QUEST-IS 2025 and pay the registration fee in full.
  2. Once you have completed your registration and paid in full, please contact us at congres@see.asso.fr with the preliminary informations we need to establish your Visa Letter (First Name, Last Name, Email, Nationality, Country, Date of birth, place of birth) or by using the form below.
  3. Apply for a French visa as soon as QUEST-IS 2025 registration opens in order to obtain your confirmation letter. Don’t wait until your paper, poster, or proposal is accepted.

About QUEST IS

In the heart of French deep tech, academic and industrial, QUEST-IS 2025, 1st International Quantum Engineering conference and exhibition will gather many companies working in the quantic ecosystem from various countries.

Quantum engineering is about developing quantum technologies in computing, telecommunications, cryptography and/or sensing with a pluridisciplinary approach merging quantum physics and other related scientific fields and technologies. Scientific fields are for example mathematics (group theory, linear algebra, differential equations), computer science (information theory, programming, software engineering, debugging, distributed processing, networking), thermodynamics, and various applied sciences (computational fluid dynamics, computational quantum chemistry). Quantum engineering involves the integration of enabling technologies in systems like cryogenics, control electronics, semiconductors design and manufacturing, cabling, lasers and photonics, their energetic dimension, what raw materials are used and where they come from. In general, Quantum engineering is about applying scientific principles to design, develop, and maintain structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes. It is a creative, iterative process that involves problem-solving, designing, testing, and optimizing. It is inherently interdisciplinary, drawing on knowledge from various scientific fields like physics, mathematics, chemistry, materials science, and computer science to create innovative solutions. It considers practical constraints, such as cost, safety, efficiency, environmental impact, and competitiveness. Quantum engineering is one domain of engineering. Here, there are few uncertainties. It is more a matter of optimization than feasibility.
